Get ready for a thrilling scientific adventure at Standalone Farm with Science Boffins! This exciting event is packed with mind-blowing experiments that will captivate both kids and adults alike. Watch in amazement as chemical reactions bubble, burst, and even catch fire, while fantastic forces take centre stage in a series of spectacular demonstrations.
Our presenter will keep you on the edge of your seat with a variety of fun, interactive experiments – some may even explode! There’s no better way for young boffins to learn while being entertained. Volunteers will be called on to help with some experiments, so don’t miss your chance to get hands-on with the science action. It’s edu-tainment at its best, where learning meets excitement in an awe-inspiring show that will leave you “wowed” and eager for more!

This summer don’t miss Amey Zoo Creature Connections, a one-of-a-kind 40-minute show running from Monday to Friday, 4th-8th August 2025! Hosted by Mark Amey, a passionate expert with years of experience as an exotic and domestic animal keeper, breeder, zoologist, environmentalist, and conservationist, this hands-on experience will introduce you to a captivating array of creatures.
Mark will take you on an exciting journey, sharing fascinating facts and stories about each animal. The best part? You’ll have the incredible opportunity to get up close and personal with these fascinating creatures and capture unforgettable photos along the way! It’s an experience you and your family won’t want to miss!

Jellyfish Theatre present their enchanting family show. A weary shoemaker lays out his leather and goes to bed. Every morning, he is astonished to find more perfectly made shoes. Who could be helping him? Come and meet the hilarious elves behind the magic. A heartwarming tale of kindness told by three brilliant actors, packed with puppetry, laughter and original music. Adapted from a traditional tale by the Brothers’ Grimm.
All performances are relaxed. Best suited for age 4 – 7
Performances at 11am and 2pm each day.

Come and see the adorable ducks as they get rounded up by an expert sheepdog in this charming, family-friendly demonstration! Watch in awe as the clever sheepdog skilfully herds the playful ducks across the field, showcasing their impressive teamwork and agility. It's a delightful and entertaining display that will have you smiling from start to finish. Perfect for all ages, this is a must-see event for anyone who loves animals and enjoys a bit of countryside charm! Don't miss out on the fun!
Join us for an unforgettable experience at the Standalone Farm event, where Stuart Barnes, the original creator of the renowned Dog and Duck Show, will showcase his extraordinary expertise in dog behaviour and training. With over 100 countries' worth of experience working with wildlife, Stuart brings a unique passion and understanding to his craft.
Watch as Stuart and his talented team, using both trained and untrained sheepdogs, demonstrate their incredible ability to herd ducks and sheep, all while educating and entertaining the audience on common dog behaviour issues and how to resolve them.
The show offers an insightful look into the natural instincts of dogs, even those that are untrained, giving you a fresh perspective on "The Way of the Dog," Stuart’s acclaimed book on dog behaviour. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to witness the amazing bond between man and dog while learning valuable insights into your own canine companions!

Transport your little ones into outer space with our immersive Space Dome. We have teamed up with Immersive Theatres who are a mobile digital planetarium service specialising in astronomy, interactive learning, entertainment and a digital 360-degree exploration of space! Enter the dome and we will take you on an up-close educational voyage into space, where little ones will learn about the universe in an accessible way. Immersive Theatre’s teaching of astronomy is very much tailored to all the various developmental stages of children’s thinking and is the perfect introduction to space for little ones.

Join Down The Woods for exciting Forest School sessions at Standalone Farm. Enjoy hands-on outdoor adventures, from den building and campfire cooking to nature crafts and woodland play.
